5/2 - Day 2&3, Cycle 3: All is well

Days two and three of this cycle have gone smoothly. Kristine's been able to leave the cancer center around 2 each day. Our departure time is important since there are medications and fluids to administer at home. The later we leave the center, the later into the night she has to be hooked up to the IV. (On Monday, our 4:30 pm departure kept us up until around 1am.)

Kristine's appetite is strong and she's been getting out for a walk each of the past few days after treatment to enjoy the beautiful whether. Nausea is starting to set in sooner than it did the last cycle. However, we know now to be more disciplined with her anti-nausea medication which should help.

Other than that not much to report.

  1. Hi Kristine, I am a friend of Debbie's (Philly Mag) and have met you a few times at various events. I ask Debbie about you often and was so happy to hear about your positive Doctor appt on Monday. Debbie says such great things about you....I feel like I know you. We will all have to hang out sometime soon. Best of luck and I look forward to reading more positive reports from Ryan.

  2. Hi Kristine and Ryan,

Just wanted to say, "hello" and I miss you! I saw Ryan this morning walking Rufus and Lucas, and of course, Ruby wanted to run over to them and give them kisses and play. Looking forward to the days when we can take walks and talk with the dogs.

Thanks Ryan for keeping us all updated.

I've been praying and thinking of you everyday! I am so happy to hear that things are going well and that you are enjoying the spring. I would love to visit you when you are up to it. I had no idea you had moved east! Not too far away from me. Be strong.

  7. Hi Kristine,
You are doing awesome. I could not even vote on the photos because you look great in all of the options. If it was up to me, I would change them with your outfits! You know, like we do with our purses!
Thanks for the phone call, it was soo great to hear you. You definately sounded great. I know this is your tough week, so i look forward to next week meeting you for a walk and lunch. Kathleen and I would like to come the same time. I know you are a popular girl and have to space your visits!

  8. Hi Kristine & Ryan,
I think of you two so often. Kristine, you look fantastic in all the photos. I was just thinking back to high school....do you remember when your sister & Missi had to have their bangs pulled back for Pom Pon? We went to a competition and I have a cute photo of you pushing your bangs back....trying to make Missi & Stephanie laugh...anyway, you look great, bangs or no bangs, hat or no hat. Now I understand the saying...Bald is Beautiful, you are the reason! You are in my prayers. Love, Jill (Martin) Boydston

  9. Kristine keep up the good work. The hair styles were all great, but you looked groovy in the hat. I'm with Debbie, change them like purses. I would love to get over to see you next week. I'll give a call. Love you guys and our thoughts are always with you.
    Love,

I pray each day that Kristine gets better. I have to say that she is so beautiful that it was hard to vote on my favorite look, so with that I say that no matter what look she has she is quite a beautiful lady and a strong one. Kristine while I don't know you at all, just know that here at Chase we are praying for you and we hope that you get better soon.

    God Bless!

So glad to have spoken to you the other day. The mail price hike today really messed up my cards this week - I will soon be back on track I was running out of stamps but you don't want to buy more when the price is going up :-D
My friend Michelle said I sent her a card for you so you may well have gotten a card for her ....okay speed of life is too fast - just thinking of you!
    Take Care
